On Thursday 3 May, 2012 Becton Property Group hosted a purchasers’ appreciation reception at its Newleaf display village in Bonnyrigg, New South Wales. The reception, attended by more than
100 people, was to thank the 210 purchasers who have bought brand new homes at Newleaf over the past 2 years.
Guests had the chance to meet with the Becton team headed by CEO, Matthew Chun. “We really appreciate the interest in this development. The response to the first four stages released at Newleaf has been incredible. The new homes have been extremely well received by purchasers, the majority of whom already live within a ten kilometre radius of the Newleaf project. We are seeing a real cross-section of the local market buying in, with families making up the highest proportion of purchasers” Mr Chun said.
Joe Trinh, who bought a three bedroom freestanding home in Stage 2 for his family said “Everything we need for an active family life is already here at Newleaf. Schools are within walking distance, so too are shops and key services. We moved from Canley Heights and have been impressed by the quality of the parks and family spaces at Newleaf. The fantastic way in which these are maintained by the Green Wings team really adds to their appeal. They are a great place to spend time on weekends or in the evenings. We love it here.”
“With prices starting at $325,000 for a two bedroom two bathroom air-conditioned apartment, and $439,000 for a three bedroom house – there’s a great range of homes at very affordable prices. We really do have something to suit everyone. Our fully-inclusive house designs feature some of the highest quality specifications currently on the market and our displays showcase these really well. With all Newleaf homes continuing to be free of stamp duty, purchasers can save up to $22,490 on the price of buying a new home” Mr Chun said.
Mr Trinh added – “We really enjoy living here. The after-sales service from Becton has been very good. Josie really goes the extra mile to make this a great place where people want to live. And tonight has been a wonderful way to get to know our new neighbours.”
The Newleaf project, a Public Private Partnership with the NSW State Government, is being undertaken by Bonnyrigg Partnerships, a partnership between Becton and WEST, a wholly owned fund of Westpac Banking Corporation operated and managed by Hastings Funds Management. Becton is also the developer and provides construction services to the project. Westpac Banking Corporation provides term debt for the project. Facilities management services are provided by Spotless Group Limited and tenancy management by St George Community Housing. The newest park, Tarlington Reserve, is being maintained through the Green Wings social enterprise scheme – a subsidiary of Newleaf Community Renewal - as part of a job training and employment creation program.
